Ebone Gilbert, native of Birmingham, Al. I have been involved in theater and dance for almost 17 years. Styles of dance
include: jazz, modern, african and hiphop. I earned a B.A. in Theater Arts from Alabama State University. I believe dance
is one of the best forms of exercise. It's fun, challenging and most of all it keeps you moving. I enjoy the challenge of
learning different dance styles and genres because I'm a dancer to the core. Give me a beat and see if I stand still.
I am a 28yo native of Birmingham, Al. I have a short lived background of dance starting at the age of 5 taking ballet, modern, and jazz until age 9 then cheerleading from 11-13yo. Although I was not able to continue in dance, it has always been a love of mine. I was able to tap back into my dance experience in high school choreographing for my high school drama department as well as participating on step teams in college with the black student alliance and my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Like many women, I have struggled with weight issues my entire life and discovered PYT Studio for a new fun way to workout and have been hooked ever since. I started as a pole student in August 2011 and never stopped. I was able to transition my love of pole and aerobics from student to instructor with the guidance and training of Niya in spring 2012. My personal goal is overall fitness and total life change for myself as well empower and encourage women of all sizes to get active, get fit, and keep it sexy!!
